Biography: Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dean Corll ended up moving to Texas with his mother after his parents marriage broke up. In the 1950's, his mother opened up a small candy company which had young Corll working day and night while still attending school. At age nineteen, his mother moved them to Houston where he was eventually named Vice President of the company.
Corll was drafted in 1964, but received a discharge after only 10 months and returned to run his mothers candy business. Rumors soon started to swirl around him because he spent so much time in the company of young boys. It was at this time, that Corll began using two teenage boys as his accomplices. He would pay them up to $200 to 'recruit' victims for Corll to rape and murder. One night, after one of his accomplices brought a victim to the house accompanied by a young female companion, Corll tried to force the accomplice to murder the girl. A fight ensued and Corll was shot dead.
